To create an Exiled Soul, the Exile must travel to the new Aether Spring—a special location discovered late in the campaign—with a weapon or trinket and its corresponding Core. A Scorching Core lets you imbue an amulet with the "Touch of Ashes" effect, causing enemies to vanish in ash, or an axe with the "Lava Eruption" effect, giving slain enemies a chance to explode in a pool of lava.
